The Plastic Surgery Center offers laser skin rejuvenation and resurfacing consultations at all of our locations. During the consultation, your surgeon will thoroughly evaluate your physical health, concerns, and skin type. Your surgeon will take this information into consideration before determining which laser treatment best suits you and how many sessions you’ll need.

What to Expect

Laser skin rejuvenation is an in-office procedure. The technician will use the PicoWay™ laser system to deliver energy to the targeted area. The ultra-short pulses break up the pigment and stimulate collagen production.

We also offer laser skin resurfacing with our ablative laser. This specialized laser vaporizes damaged outer layers of skin at a precisely controlled depth to uncover fresh, new skin beneath. During laser skin rejuvenation, you and your technician will wear protective eyewear.

Pain tolerance varies, but many describe the treatment as a pinprick to the skin. A numbing cream can be used to minimize pain. You may experience redness, itching, burning, and swelling in the treated area, but these symptoms will resolve within a few days. Pigmented areas may appear discolored and scab over but will resolve within one week.

Normal activities can be resumed immediately following the treatment.
