Following general surgery training, she completed Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery training at The Ohio State University, where she had high volume exposure to cancer reconstruction at The James Cancer Hospital, one of the prestigious National Comprehensive Cancer Hospitals. Here, Dr. Molina trained with world-leaders in microsurgery and lymphedema surgery, complex abdominal wall reconstruction, lower extremity reconstruction, and nerve surgery. She received a robust cosmetic training experience working closely with the largest cosmetic practice in the state. During this time, she continued to pursue research in breast reconstruction, specifically regarding policy initiatives for oncoplastic or partial breast reconstruction, and outcomes research in those undergoing breast free flap reconstruction. Her additional research interests include issues in gender disparity in surgical fields.
Dr. Molina applies her well-rounded and high-volume training experience to a number of reconstructive needs including breast reconstruction, lower extremity reconstruction, abdominal wall reconstruction, facial trauma, and body contouring. She strives to provide excellent care to patients undergoing breast cancer treatment including oncoplastic or partial breast reconstruction, post-mastectomy breast reconstruction, and secondary revision procedures. With her extensive experience in open vascular surgery and in post-traumatic and oncologic lower extremity reconstruction, she incorporates lower extremity surgery in her practice as well.
